Zeboim

ZEBOIM, or Seboim, one of the four Cities of Pentapolis, that were consumed Gen. xix. 24.by Fire from Heaven. Eusebius and St. Jerome speak of Zeboim,1 as of a City remaining in their time, upon the Western Shore of the Dead Sea. Therefore after the Time of Lot and Abraham this City must have been rebuilt about the same Place it was before. Mention is made of the Valley of Zoboim, 1 Sam. xiii. 18. and of a City of the same Name in the Tribe of Benjamin, Nehem. xi. 34.
