ARAPHA, or rather Rapha, Father of the Giants of Raphaim. The word Rapha may likewise signify simply a Giant, and it is possible that the Giants of Anak’s race, who were formerly in Palestine, are called Raphaim, only because of their gigantick stature, and the generical signification of the name Rapha. See RAPHA, and RAPHAIM.
