TUBAL-CAIN, or Thubal-cain, Son of Lamech the Bigamous, and of Zillah. The Scripture tells us, that he was the Father Genesis iv. 22.and Inventor, or Master of the Art of forging and managing Iron, and of making all kinds of Iron-work. It is not doubted but it was he that gave E e occasion to the Vulcan of the Heathens. The Name Tubal-cain, is not very remote from Vulcan.
