TIBNI, or Thebni, Son of Ginath, 2 Kings viii. 7. Competitor with Omri for the Kingdom 2 Kings xvi. 21.of Israel: But the Faction of Omri prevailed over that of Tibni, who thereupon died. The Scripture does not tell us what kind of Death he died; but it should seem that he died in Battel, in the Year of the World 3079, before Christ 921, before the Vulgar Æra 925.
