Tekel

TEKEL, or Thechel, that is to say, he was weighed. This was one of the Words that appeared written upon the Wall, at the sacrilegious Feast of King Belshazzar. God intended to shew by it, that this wretched Prince had been weigh’d in the Balance, and had been found wanting. See Dan. v. 25.the Articles Belshazzar and Daniel.
