SEPHAR, a Mountain of the East, probably about Armenia. The Sons of Joktan had their Dwelling from Mesha, as thou Gen. x. 29.goest unto Sephar a Mount of the East. We believe these Mountains to have been the Dwelling of the Sepharvaim, of which mention is made in Scripture; and of the Saspires, of whom the Geographers speak. See the Article SEPHARVAIM.
