SAMEGA, a City of Judea, that was taken by Hyrcanus. Joseph. Antiq. l. 13. Josh. xv. 26. שמש Shemash.c. 17. He calls it Samæa, l. 1. c. 2. de Bello. Perhaps it is the same as Shema.
