Nadab (II)

Levit. x. 8, 9, &c. 1 Kings xv. 25, 26, &c.II. NADAB, Son of Jeroboam I. King of Israel. He succeeded his Father in the Kingdom of the Ten Tribes, in the Year of the World 3050, before Christ 950, before the Vulgar Æra 954. He reigned but two Years. He was assassinated while he was at the Siege of Gibbethon, by Baasha Son of Abijah, of the Tribe of Issachar, who usurped his Kingdom. The Scripture says of Nadab, that he did Evil in the Sight of the Lord, and that he imitated the Wickedness of his Father Jeroboam, who made Israel to sin.
