MAKKEDAH, or Maceda, a City belonging to the Tribe of Judah, Josh. xv. 41. Eusebius says, that this City is eight Miles from Eleutheropolis, towards the East. Joshua marched from Libnah towards Makhedah, Josh. x. 29.
