Lydia

LYDIA, a Province of Asia Minor peopled by the Sons of Lud, the Son of Shem. Gen. x. 23. We have very little Notice taken of these Lydians in the Scripture. There is Mention of them in Isaiah, lxvi. 19. or perhaps of the Lydians in Egypt, and in the first Book of Maccabees, Chap. viii. V. 8.
