23.KEMUEL, the third Son of Nahor.
Moses says, that he was the Father of the Gen. xxii. 21.Syrians, or rather of Aram. He had a Son of this Name, or he had a Son who was surnamed the Syrian or Aramite; for the Nation of the Syrians was derived from Aram, one of the Sons of Shem. Kemuel may have given his Name to the Kamilites, a People of Syria lying Westward of the Euphrates.
