JATTIR, a City in the Tribe of Dan. Josh. xv. 48. It was afterwards given up to the Levites of Kohath’s Family. Joshua xxi. 14. Eusebius says, that Jattir or Jether, or Jethira, is situated in the Canton called Daroma, towards the City of Malatha, twenty miles from Eleutheropolis. It is probably the same as Ether or Athar.
