JAHAZ, a City beyond Jordan, near Numb. xxi. 23. Deut. ii. 32.which King Sihon was defeated by Moses. It was given to the Tribe of Reuben. It is the same probably as Jahzah, situated to Josh. xiii. 18.the north, and pretty near Ar, Capital of the Moabites. It was given up to the Levites. 1 Chron. vi. 78.
