Hosai

HOSAI, the Prophet of the Lord, who lived in the time of Manasseh King of Judah2 Chron. xxxiii. 19., and wrote what happened under the reign of this Prince. The Jews are of opinion, that Hosai and Isaiah are the same person, this Prophet also living in the reign of Manasseh. Others take Hosai in a general sense for Prophets and Seers: and thus the Septuagint explain it.

The Syriac calls him Hanan, and the Arabic, Sapkan.
