III. HILKIAH, the father of Jeremiah, Jerem. i. 1. Some1 will have it, that this Hilkiah was the High-Priest of this name, who lived in the reign of Josiah, 2 Kings xxiii. 4, 8, 10. but their opinion wants good proofs.
