Ephraim (III)

III. EPHRAIM, a City belonging to the Tribe of Benjamin, eight miles from Jerusalem, according to Eusebius1. It was situated in the neighbourhood of Bethel2. I am afraid that these two Cities have been confounded, for instead of the eight miles in Eusebius, St. Jerom reckons twenty.
