EN-EGLAIM, the Fountain of Calves. Ezekiel speaks of this place in opposition to En-gedi. The fishers shall stand upon it from En-gedi even to En-eglaïm: they shall be a place to spread forth nets. St. Jerom says, that En-eglaïm is situated at the beginning of the Dead Sea, where the river Jordan enters into it. Eusebius places a town called Agallim on the other side of the Dead Sea, eight miles from Areopolis. But this last was too remote from the sea above-mentioned, to believe that En-eglaïm was the Agallim meant there by Eusebius.
