II. CLEOPATRA, Daughter of the Cleopatra we have been speaking of, and Ptolemy Epiphanes King of Egypt. She married Ptolemy Philometor her own Brother. There is mention of this Cleopatra and Ptolemy her Husband in the Book of Esther, xi. 1. where it is said, In the fourth year of the reign of Ptolemeus and Cleopatra, Dositheus, who said he was a Priest and Levite, and Ptolemeus his son brought to the Jews of Alexandria the Book of Esther, or the Epistle of Pharim, translated out of Hebrew into Greek by Lysimachus the Son of Ptolemy. This happened in the year of the World 3827, of the Julian Period 4537, before J. C. 177, before the vulgar Æra 181.
