Antarada

ANTARADA, a City of Syria or Phœnicia, lying upon the Continent, opposite to, and Eastward of, the Island Arada, and of the City of the same name situated in that Island. The Scripture does not speak expressly of the City Antarada; but in several places it mentions Arada, or Arva, or the Arvadites, who are reckoned among the Canaanites, whose Country God gave up to the Hebrews. Antarada is at present called Tortosa. The City is still considerable, chiefly for its fine Harbour. There is an ancient Monument shewn there of about twenty cubits in length.
