et vidit omnis caro salutare Dei, quod librum Legis et Prophetarum aperuit, et omnia ejus signacula solvit, et omnia quaecumque a Patre audivit, nobis nota fecit. Simili modo fiebat haec transmigratio maxime de ignorantia in scientiam, de culpa in gratiam, de umbra in veritatem, de servitute in libertatem, de timore in amorem, de gravitate in levitatem, de austeritate in benignitatem, de humanitate in divinitatem, quae transmigratio maxima fuit, quia in ea principium ad ultimum in unam personam transmigravit.

§ III. Solutio objectorum. Quod autem objicitur, quod Judaeis solis promissus fuit, dicimus quod hoc falsum est: quoniam et Gentibus, sicut patet per omnes prophetas scribentes de vocatione Gentium. Concedimus tamen, quod solis Judaeis promissum fuerit, quod Christus de eorum semine nasceretur, et quod eis solis solutum sit. Et sic originaliter salus ex Judaeis venit, sed tamen non propter eos solos venit.

and all flesh saw the salvation of God, which opened the book of the Law and the Prophets, and loosed all its seals, and made known to us all things whatsoever he heard from the Father. In a similar way this transmigration took place most of all from ignorance into knowledge, from fault into grace, from shadow into truth, from servitude into liberty, from fear into love, from heaviness into lightness, from austerity into kindness, from humanity into divinity. This transmigration was the greatest, because in it the principle migrated to the last thing into one person.

§ III. Solution of the objections. As to what is objected, that he was promised to the Jews alone, we say that this is false, since he was also promised to the Gentiles, as is clear through all the prophets writing about the calling of the Gentiles. Nevertheless we concede that it was promised to the Jews alone that Christ would be born from their seed, and that he was paid to them alone. And thus salvation originally came from the Jews, but nevertheless he did not come for them alone.
