sed hoc impossibile est, si detur (sicut ostensum est) quod praedicamenta sive praedicata steterint in superius et ad inferius accipiendo: quia ubi steterint, nihil remanet ulterius accipiendum. Quod autem sic stent praedicata (pro mediis accipiendo) demonstratum est logice prius duobus modis, et nunc in ista demonstratione demonstratum est hoc analytice.
but this is impossible, if it is granted (as has been shown) that the predicaments or predicates have come to a stop when they are taken upward and downward, because, where they have come to a stop, nothing remains to be taken further. But that the predicates thus come to a stop (when taken in place of middles) was previously demonstrated logically in two ways, and now in this demonstration this has been demonstrated analytically.
