Question XIV. Whether Rahab lied more gravely than the midwives of Exodus ch. 1

—at least of the truth [some proof] was likewise to be attempted [demanded]; and because the midwives themselves were bidden to kill those [infants] with their own hands. Otherwise [it is] both with the spies and with Rahab in all respects [the same]. And quaest. 41, ad 1[um], he [Abulensis] teaches [that] she merited not eternal but temporal goods.
