What Joshua did, after he descended from Mount Sinai together with Moses, in this same first year of the Egyptian [departure], we have nothing other than this one [thing], which is handed down in very few little words (Exodus ch. 33, v. 11): “When he (Moses) returned into the camp, his minister Joshua, the son of Nun, a boy [puer], departed not from the Tabernacle.”
