29. Demonstration. Just as it is not contrary to reason that those who die their final day bound by sin should immediately incur perpetual punishments, so reason most greatly approves this order of providence.1 Therefore a revelation which teaches that this order of providence was in fact appointed by God is not contrary to reason, but rather fittingly accords with the principles of reason.
