SALAMIM, or Zalamim. They speak of a City by the Name of Salamin in the Books of the Hebrews, (Misn. Cod. Kilaim, c. 4. Misn. 9. & Jeramoth, c. 16. Misn. 6.) Malala Chronic. n. 296. says, that Augustus gave the Name of Diospolis to Salamim a City of Palestine.
