MIZREHOTH-MAIM, Josh. xi. 8. xiii. 6. We think this may be the City of Sarepta. The Root of this Name is the same as of Mizrephoth. Others think the Waters of Mizrephoth were Hot-Waters; others that they were the Salt Waters of the Sea, received into Canals, and being exhaled by the Heat of the Sun, produced Salt, as is still the Method in some Places near the Sea-Shore.
