Mizor

Josh. xxi. 36.MIZOR, or Misor, a City of the Tribe of Reuben, which was surrendered to the Levites of the Family of Merari, 1 Chron. vi. 78, 79. Mizor is not read in the Hebrew of Joshua, nor in the Chronicles. There is some Probability that Mizor is put for Jaza. Aquila and Symmachus have taken Mizor for a Plain; and indeed this Word is sometimes put for a champain Countrey1. See the Commentary upon Joshua xxi. 36.
