1 Kings xv. 23. & 2 Chr. xvi. 16.GOUT, Gouty. The Disease which King Asa was so much troubled with in his feet during his old age, is by some thought to have been the Gout. The Scripture reproaches him with having placed his confidence rather in the art of Physicians than in the Lord. I cannot observe any other place in Scripture where there is any mention of the Gout.
