Eliezer (II)

II. ELIEZER, the son of Moses and Zipporah, was born at Midian while Moses Exod. ii. 18, 22. 1 Chr. xxiii. 17.his father abode in this country. He had a son whose name was Rehabiah. Some1 have thought, that what is related Exod. iv. 24, 25. of an Angel’s meeting Moses, when he was upon his return from Midian into Egypt is to be understood, as if this Angel intended to kill Eliezer, because he was not circumcised. The Scripture does not say very clearly, whom the Angel had a design upon, whether Moses or Eliezer; and there are different opinions concerning it.
