II. ELAH, the son of Baasha King of Israel. He was assassinated by Zimri, after a reign of two years. He left a son, whose 1 Kings xvi. 6, 7, 8, 9.name was Hoshea; and who killed Pekah the Usurper of his Crown; 2 Kings xv. 30.
