II. AMON, fourteenth King of Judah, Son of Manasseh and Meshullemeth, the Daughter of Haruz, of Jotbah. He began to reign in the year of the World 3363. before J. C. 637. before the vulgar Æra 641, at the age of two and twenty, and reigned only two years at Jerusalem. He did evil in the sight of the Lord, as his Father 2 Kings xxi. 19, 20, 21.Manasseh did. He forsook the God of his Fathers, and worshiped Idols. His servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house: but the People killed all the Conspirators, and established his Son Josiah in his Throne. He was buried in the Garden of Uzza. We know no other particulars of his life. His death happened in the year of the World 3365. before J. C. 635, before the vulgar Æra 639.
