De symbolo Apostolorum et divisione ejus.
ARTICULUS I.
1. His itaque praehabitis, accipiamus symbolum Apostolorum, et divisionem illius et explanationem ostendamus.
Dividendo igitur dicimus, quod Petrus, Apostolorum princeps in concilio Apostolorum, primum articulum posuit, dicens: Credo in Deum, Patrem omnipotentem, creatorem caeli et terrae. Et ibi tacuit. Et iste est articulus primus.

On the symbol of the Apostles and its division.
ARTICLE I.
1. Therefore, these things having been had beforehand, let us receive the symbol of the Apostles, and let us show its division and explanation.
Therefore by dividing we say that Peter, prince of the Apostles, in the council of the Apostles, placed the first article, saying: I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. And there he was silent. And this is the first article.
