Question 118. Whether she had interpretation of speeches?

Sed quod hanc in summo habuit beata Virgo, patet ex determinatis, ubi probatum est quod omnes Scripturas intellexit.
2. Item, Non est verbum quod Dominus non revelavit servis suis, sicut testatur Amos, III, 7 2. Ergo multo plus matri. Caetera ut supra.

There follows: To another, interpretation of speeches 1. The Gloss says: “To explain the Scriptures.”
But that the blessed Virgin had this in the highest degree is clear from the things determined, where it was proved that she understood all the Scriptures.
2. Likewise, there is no word which the Lord did not reveal to his servants, as Amos 3:7 bears witness 2. Therefore much more to his mother. The rest as above.
Sic igitur manifestum est, quod beata Virgo omnium gratiarum gratis datarum perfectionem in summo possedit, etiam hunc gratiarum novenarium 3.
Thus therefore it is manifest that the blessed Virgin possessed in the highest degree the perfection of all graces given freely, even this ninefold set of graces 3.
