ejus civitatis supernae invenit restaurationem, et profunditas ejus sedentibus in tenebris et umbra mortis obtinuit redemptionem.
Quae est ista? Haec est inferni evacuatrix, caelestis Jerusalem restauratrix, vitae perditae donatrix. Per te enim caelum repletum est, infernus evacuatus est, instauratae sunt ruinae caelestis Jerusalem, exspectantibus miseris vita perdita data est. Sic potentissima et piissima charitas et affectu compatiendi et subveniendi abundat effectu, aeque locuples in utroque. Ad hunc igitur fontem sitibunda properet anima nostra! Ad hunc misericordiae cumulum tota sollicitudine miseria nostra recurrat! Ecce jam quibus potuimus votis ascendentem te ad Filium deduximus, et prosecuti sumus, saltem a longe, Virgo benedicta.
Quae est ista? Haec est, quae ideo ascendit in caelum, ut toti mundo gratiam, quam invenit, notificet, reis veniam impetret, medelam aegris. Sic deinceps pietatis tuae, quam apud Deum gratiam invenisti, notam fac mundo, scilicet reis veniam, medelam aegris, pusillis corde robur, afflictis consolationem, periclitantibus adjutorium et liberationem sanctis tuis precibus obtinendo. In hac quoque die solemnitatis et laetitiae dulcissimum Mariae nomen cum laude invocantibus servulis per te, regina clemens, gratiae suae munera largiatur Jesus Christus, qui est super omnia Deus benedictus in saecula."
15. Item, Ipsa est quam super omnem creaturam Deus allocutus est, Cantic. VIII, 8: Soror nostra, scilicet Maria, parva, scilicet per humilitatem, sed maxima per dignitatem: ubera non habet, scilicet concupiscentiae et luxuriae, sed gratiae et misericordiae. Ergo, Quid faciemus sorori nostrae, fidelissimae, verecundissimae, in die annuntiationis, quando alloquenda est? per Angelum exterius, ac per annuntiationem a tota Trinitate interius, ad Filii Dei receptionem, ad hominum reconciliationem, ad inferni clausionem, ad caeli reserationem, ad aeternam diaboli conculcationem.
16. Item, Ipsa est murus defensionis. Cantic. VIII, 10: Ego murus firmissimus, et ubera mea sicut turris salvans et exaltans, ex quo facta sum coram eo, quasi pacem reperiens, quam nullus poterat reperire. Ego sum columba Noe, Ecclesiae ramum olivae et pacis deferens universalis 1.
LIBER SAPIENTIAE.
Diligite justitiam, qui judicatis terram 2.
1. Beatissima Domina dicitur mater instructionis peccatorum stultorum, Sapient. VII, 12: Ignorabam, ego scilicet peccator, quoniam horum omnium, scilicet fidelium Christi, mater est sapientia, scilicet Maria.

Let our misery run back with all solicitude to this heap of mercy! Behold, now with what vows we could, we have led you, as you ascended, to the Son, and we have followed you, at least from afar, blessed Virgin.
Who is this? This is she who therefore ascended into heaven, that she might make known to the whole world the grace that she found, might obtain pardon for the guilty, medicine for the sick. Thus henceforth make your piety, the grace that you found with God, known to the world, namely by obtaining by your holy prayers pardon for the guilty, medicine for the sick, strength for the little-hearted, consolation for the afflicted, help and liberation for those in danger. On this day also of solemnity and gladness, through you, clement queen, may Jesus Christ, who is God blessed above all things forever, bestow the gifts of his grace on the little servants who invoke the sweetest name of Mary with praise."
15. Likewise, she is the one whom God addressed above every creature, Song of Songs VIII, 8: Our sister, namely Mary, is little, namely through humility, but greatest through dignity; she has no breasts, namely of concupiscence and luxury, but of grace and mercy. Therefore, What shall we do for our sister, most faithful, most modest, on the day of annunciation, when she is to be addressed? by the Angel outwardly, and by the announcement from the whole Trinity inwardly, for the reception of the Son of God, for the reconciliation of men, for the closing of hell, for the opening again of heaven, for the eternal trampling down of the devil.
16. Likewise, she is the wall of defense. Song of Songs VIII, 10: I am a most firm wall, and my breasts are like a tower, saving and exalting, from the time that I was made before him as one finding peace, which no one could find. I am the dove of Noah, bearing to the Church the branch of olive and of universal peace 1.
