X. Dominica in Septuagesima, Oratio. Amen.

X. Sunday in Septuagesima, Prayer. The kingdom of heaven is like a householder 1. Lord Jesus Christ, highest householder, who called me in the first morning into your vineyard, when from my youth you hired me to labor in religion for the denarius of eternal life: when evening has been made in judgment, and you will render the wage to the workers, what will you give to me, who have stood idle not only in the marketplace of the world, but in the very vineyard of religion through the whole day of my life? Lord, who do not weigh our works according to the public weight, but according to the weight of the sanctuary, make me recover my senses at least in the eleventh hour, and because you are good, let my eye not be found wholly wicked. Amen.
