Little Question One of Question Seven

Why children and the insane sometimes predict future things

It is doubted why children and the insane sometimes predict future things.

To this it is answered as follows: because children and the insane have free choice bound, they act not properly voluntarily but naturally. Physical nature, however, is governed by the stars, which in a certain manner change their phantasies, and thus they divine, as was said above in the explanation of the philosophers’ opinion and as will be explained more clearly from the following response to the seventh inquiry.
