We, Brother NICHOLAS of St. John, Consultor to the Sacred Congregation of Bishops and Regulars, and Minister General of the entire Order of Capuchin Friars Minor of Saint Francis.

Since the work entitled - Geological, Philological, and Scriptural Studies on the Cosmogony of Moses, by the Very Reverend Father Laurent, Provincial of the Capuchin Friars Minor of France - has been reviewed and approved by two Theologians of our Order appointed by Us, we therefore grant permission for it to be committed to print, those things required to be observed being observed.

Given at Our Convent of the Most Holy Immaculate Conception in Rome, on the 13th day of April 1863.
