I find, in sacred Scripture, two almost supreme genera of prophecy: one through priests, the other through prophets. Often indeed those who were prophets were also priests; but they predicted future things in one way insofar as they were priests, and in another way insofar as they were prophets. The matter is not obvious to everyone and is worthy of rather careful examination.
