I judge this third book of the Magical Investigations, composed by Reverend Father Martin Del Rio, theologian of the Society of Jesus, because it is filled with manifold and varied learning and contains nothing opposed to the Catholic faith, worthy to be committed to the press.

The three later books, the fourth, fifth, and sixth books of the Magical Investigations, by the learned man Father Martin Del Rio, priest of the Society of Jesus, because of their many-sided learning, the pleasing variety of hidden matters, and the solidity of their doctrine, will be very useful to the reader, especially in these times, as were also the earlier books of the same Investigations. Therefore, for the great usefulness of the Church, I judge that they should by all means be committed to type.
