”The iniquity of my people is greater than the sin of Sodom.” — Lamentations 4:6

Strabus, in his Gloss which is called the Ordinary, annotating this clause, said that hypocrisy is a crime far greater than the sin of Sodom.1 See above, on Isaiah chapter 16, Annotation 227.
