”James answered, saying, Men [and] brethren.” — Acts 15:13

Oecumenius, in this place, writes that James — bishop of Jerusalem, and brother of the Lord according to the flesh — was the son of Joseph, the spouse of the Virgin Mary. See Annotation 59 of this book.
