XLIX. Dominica vicesima prima post festum Trinitatis, Oratio. Erat quidam regulus, cujus filius infirmabatur Capharnaum 1. Domine Jesu Christe, qui de Judaea angelicae confessionis et laudis, in Galilaeam rotam hujus mundi venisti, quoniam infirmus sum, temporalium rerum pulchritudine tentatus, et ideo incipio jam mori tentatione fatigatus: miserere mei priusquam moriar morte culpae, corporis, vel gehennae; ut virtute verbi, humilitate confessionis, jejunio, oratione, pietate, et exemplo per gratiam Salvatoris liberer a febre fomitis, et aegritudine peccati. Amen.
XLIX. Twenty-First Sunday after the Feast of Trinity, Prayer. There was a certain ruler whose son was sick at Capharnaum 1. Lord Jesus Christ, who came from the Judea of angelic confession and praise into Galilee, the wheel of this world, since I am sick, tempted by the beauty of temporal things, and therefore I already begin to die, worn out by temptation: have mercy on me before I die by the death of fault, of the body, or of Gehenna, so that by the virtue of the word, humility of confession, fasting, prayer, piety, and example, through the grace of the Savior, I may be freed from the fever of the tinder and the sickness of sin. Amen.
