XL. Dominica duodecima post festum Trinitatis, Oratio. Exiens Jesus de finibus Tyri, venit per Sidonem ¹. Domine Jesu Christe, qui finaliter malos deseris, veni ad filios praedestinationis, per Sidonem praedicationis, ad mare contritionis Galilaeae, confessionis, satisfactionis, et transmigrationis: inter medios fines proficientis charitatis, ad instantiam praedicationis, correptionis, infirmitatis, orationis, et tribulationis. Apprehende nos seorsum a turba multitudinis, mitte digitum discretionis in auriculam nostri intellectus, et in affectum gustum sapientiae: ut solvantur vincula linguae nostrae ad confitendum, pudor scilicet, et impunitatis stulta spes, desperatio, et diffidentia: ut loquamur recte verbo, a voluntate et opere non discordante. Vitemus laudem hominum, de contemptu temporalium, de humilitate, et patientia admirantium: ut et surdi bene audiant per conversionem, et muti loquantur per confessionem et praedicationem. Amen.

XL. Twelfth Sunday after the Feast of Trinity, Prayer. Going out from the borders of Tyre, Jesus came through Sidon ¹. Lord Jesus Christ, who finally abandon the evil, come to the sons of predestination, through the Sidon of preaching, to the sea of contrition of Galilee, of confession, satisfaction, and transmigration, among the middle boundaries of advancing charity, at the urgency of preaching, correction, weakness, prayer, and tribulation. Take hold of us apart from the crowd of the multitude; put the finger of discretion into the little ear of our understanding, and into affection the taste of wisdom, so that the bonds of our tongue may be loosed for confessing, namely shame, foolish hope of impunity, despair, and distrust; so that we may speak rightly with a word not discordant from will and work. Let us avoid the praise of human beings admiring us for contempt of temporal things, for humility, and for patience, so that both the deaf may hear well through conversion and the mute may speak through confession and preaching. Amen.
