XXXIV. Dominica sexta post festum Trinitatis, Oratio. Dico enim vobis, quia nisi abundaverit justitia vestra 1. Domine Jesu Christe, qui antiquis temporalia, nobis vero aeterna promisisti bona, ut justitia nostra superabundaret: custodi nos ab homicidiis, malitiis odii, avaritiae, fraudis, detractionis, voluptatis, negligentiae, taciturnitatis, incautae reprehensionis, et blandae vocis, adulationis, circumventionis: ne imitemur diabolum, vel pravos parentes: ne peccemus in sapientiam creationis, in gratiam redemptionis, in propriam naturam vel speciem; et propter sanguinis horrorem libera nos a contumelia facti, verbi, vel signi, et ira peccati, ut munus boni operis quod tibi ad altare fidei offerimus, acceptum sit in charitatis reconciliatione. Amen.
XXXIV. Sixth Sunday after the Feast of Trinity, Prayer. For I say to you, that unless your justice has abounded 1. Lord Jesus Christ, who promised temporal goods to the ancients, but eternal goods to us, so that our justice might superabound: guard us from murders, from the evils of hatred, avarice, fraud, detraction, pleasure, negligence, taciturnity, incautious rebuke, and a flattering voice, of flattery, of circumvention, lest we imitate the devil or depraved parents, lest we sin against the wisdom of creation, against the grace of redemption, against our own nature or species; and because of horror at blood, free us from reproach of deed, word, or sign, and from the anger of sin, so that the gift of good work that we offer to you at the altar of faith may be accepted in the reconciliation of charity. Amen.
