XXVII. In die sanctae Trinitatis, Oratio. Erat homo ex Pharisaeis Nicodemus nomine 1. Domine Jesu Christe, qui a Deo venisti Magister, doce nos uti ratione, separari a malis, vincere prolem spiritualium vitiorum principem, confiteri nomini tuo, imitari signa tuae humilitatis: ut respondeamus duplici nativitati, renascamur et nos ex gratia per aquam baptismi, verbi, et multiplicium lacrymarum: ut adipiscamur te summam sapientiam pro nobis in deserto exaltatum. Doce nos prudentiam mundi, carnis, et diaboli, per abrenuntiationem rerum, voluptatum, et superbiae, patibulo poenitentiae condemnare. Amen.
XXVII. On the Day of the Holy Trinity, Prayer. There was a man from the Pharisees, Nicodemus by name 1. Lord Jesus Christ, who came from God as Teacher, teach us to use reason, to be separated from evils, to conquer the offspring, the prince of spiritual vices, to confess your name, and to imitate the signs of your humility, so that we may answer to the double nativity, and we also may be reborn from grace through the water of baptism, of the word, and of manifold tears, so that we may obtain you, the highest wisdom, exalted for us in the desert. Teach us to condemn the prudence of the world, the flesh, and the devil, by renunciation of things, pleasures, and pride, on the gibbet of penitence. Amen.
