VII. Dominica prima post Octavas Epiphaniae, Oratio. Nuptiae factae sunt in Cana Galilaeae 1. Domine Jesu Christe, aeternum et perfectum desiderium salutis nostrae: adsit mihi mater tua, gratia spiritualis: cum discipulis tuis, virtutibus: adsint et ministri, naturalia utriusque hominis: et cum vinum devotionis defecerit, innuente matre et suadente ministris jubeas impleri, ne inanes sint usque ad summum defectionis, sex hydrias, observantiam videlicet abstinentiae regularis, continentiae, paupertatis, silentii, obedientiae, et humilitatis: aqua verae contritionis, quam tandem admirante architriclino quolibet, religiose convertam in vinum jucunditatis, et ad extremum in perfectionem desiderii passionis. Amen.
VII. First Sunday after the Octaves of Epiphany, Prayer. A wedding was held in Cana of Galilee 1. Lord Jesus Christ, eternal and perfect desire of our salvation: let your mother, spiritual grace, be present to me; with your disciples, the virtues; let the ministers also be present, the natural things of each human being; and when the wine of devotion has failed, with the mother giving the sign and the ministers urging, may you command the six water jars, namely the observance of regular abstinence, continence, poverty, silence, obedience, and humility, to be filled, lest they be empty up to the summit of deficiency, with the water of true contrition, which at length, with any steward marveling, I may religiously convert into the wine of gladness, and finally into the perfection of the desire of passion. Amen.
